{"id":988,"date":"2024-09-18T21:41:04","date_gmt":"2024-09-18T16:11:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csaccept.com\/?p=988"},"modified":"2024-12-04T09:50:33","modified_gmt":"2024-12-04T04:20:33","slug":"data-manupulation-language-dml-data-defination-language-ddl-integrity-constrants-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csaccept.com\/data-manupulation-language-dml-data-defination-language-ddl-integrity-constrants-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Data Manupulation Language (DML)||Data Defination Language (DDL)|| DBMS Part &#8211; 2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Manupulation Language (DML)  ||  Data Defination Language (DDL)  || Integrity Constrants  || Part &#8211; 2<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Manupulation Language (DML) :-<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The language for accessing and manupulating the data organized by the approprate data model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C-Create<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>R-Retrive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U-Update\/Modify<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>D-Delete<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">There are two classes of data manupulations language:-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(1) Procedural:-<\/strong> The user specified what data is required and how to get that data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(2) Declarative (Non Procedural):-<\/strong> The user specified what data is required without specifying how to get the data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Data Defination Language (DDL) :-   <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(To Create Database Schema)                     <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a language that is used for defining the database schema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also called data storage and defination language because it is specified the storage structure and the access method used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Integrity Constrants :-<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This includes all the conditions which the DBMS must always satisfy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(i) Domain Constrants-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A domain of possible values must be associated with an attributes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example: <\/strong>Integer type value, special character etc..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(ii) Referencial Integrity :-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes value appearing in one relation for given set of rules also appears for another set of attributes in other relation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(iii) Assertion:-<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a condition that the database must always satisfy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example: <\/strong>Minimum balance in the account.
